Checks have started to arrive in bank accounts of people who filed their 2007 tax return and opted for direct deposit for their refund. I received mine and I already have plans on how I am going to spend it. So far, I have about 75% of it allocated to bills that need to be paid. With the economy in the shape it is now, I'm sure I am not alone in this category. I really wish I could spend this money on something other than bills, but I need to stay afloat with my finances right now.
